Catalunya vs Honduras

On the 28th of December of 2010, me and some friends went to see the match between the selections of Catalunya and Honduras.
We left Seva at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, then we went with a bus to Barcelona at the stadium of Monjuïc, Lluís Companys. We arrived there between a quarter past five and five twenty-five. The match had started at seven o’clock, so we went to have a walk around the stadium. There, there were the fountains of Monjuïc and also the sports center called Palau Sant Jordi. Then, when It missed forty-five minutes to start the match, we go in to the stadium. This was my first time that I go to this stadium and I could saw the athletics track which it was used in the Olympic games of Barcelona’92 and the European athletics games that it was celebrated last summer. The clock which was at the stadium clocked 7pm, so the match had started. The match was not too much difficult for Catalonia because it won 4-0. The match was enough interesting because we could see four goals and a lot of occasions of goal. At the half time, we went to a bar and we bought a sandwich of bacon for dinner. Bojan made two goals, Sergio Garcia one goal and Coro made another one.
When the match was finished, we made a photograph of all the friends to record this event. Then we caught the bus to return to our town. We arrived in Seva at ten thirty with an smile in our faces because it was a very good experience.

In two weeks

Last days I was very under stress. I had to finish the “treball de recerca” because last Thursday all the class must given that to her tutor. “Treball de recerca” is a work that is done in Catalunya which is obligatory for students who curse 2n of Batxillerat. It is consist of a work which you can choose a topic of whatever you want but, obviously, something that you like. So, when you have the topic chosen, you have to explain that a do something practical also relacionated with that. To do that in my case, I had to put a lot of hours and now I hope that it will be reward with a good mark.
But, “treball de recerca” doesn’t finish here, now I had to prepare the oral presentation. Now I’m preparing the presentation with the support of a power point. The presentations of each “treball de recerca” will be next 15, 16 or 17 of December. I suppose that I will be very nervous because I don’t like nothing talk in public and also I need to bring something in one hand because like some people, I don’t know to put my hands and that puts me more nervous.
After that I will left back “treball de recerca” and I will be more concentrate in the study, because when I was doing the work I didn’t have time to study the subjects like biology, chemistry, English, Catalan… and the marks weren’t the marks that I want and that I need to go to the university next year.

Presentation and my opinion about the independence of Catalonia.

Hi!!! I’m Sergi and it’s my first text that I will write in this English blog. In that, I will write things that worries me, some situations of my life, some explanations about different topics…

In the first one I will write about my opinion of a topic that the lasts months is at the present of a lot of people.

The independence of Catalonia from a Spain, is a thing that worries me: I think that a Nation like Catalonia which has a own language,  own traditions, a feeling of the people who loves his nation… definitively a own culture, means that it can be a own state independent from Spain.  In his history, Spain had made things to Catalonia to prohibit his own privileges like speak a different language from Spanish in a period of Franco was in power. In my opinion there are a lot of people in Spain who thinks that Catalonia is only useful  from Spain, because it represents a very big part of his economy. So people like me, who thinks that Spain is oppressing Catalonia want the independence of Catalonia and if in the future happens that, Catalonia will be free from rules which makes the government of Spain which prevents the progress of our nation.

Last year started a process which it was a referendum, that, asked “ you want the independence of Catalonia?” which hadn’t got validity but it had got a symbolic results because the “yes” won in all the places,  and the Spanish people found out that there are a lot of people in Catalonia that wants the independence.

So, definitely, I hope one day, I will see in the TV notices saying Catalonia is independent from Spain, that will be a very good notice for a lot of people of Catalonia.
